Refund & Cancellation Policy

Clear billing expectations before you join.

This policy explains how cancellations, trials, renewals, refunds, and access changes are handled for EdLeadia memberships and paid plans.

Last updated: July 8, 2026

Plain-language overview

EdLeadia aims to make cancellations simple and billing clear. Individual members can cancel a subscription at any time. Refunds depend on the plan type, billing period, timing of the request, platform access already provided, and any rights required by applicable law.

At a glance

1
Cancel anytime Individual subscriptions can be cancelled through your account tools where available or by contacting EdLeadia.
2
Access usually continues After cancellation, access generally continues until the end of the paid billing period unless otherwise stated.
3
No surprise renewals Plan terms, renewal timing, cancellation steps, and refund rules should be clear before purchase.
1 Scope of this policy +

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to individual EdLeadia memberships, paid digital access, trials that convert into paid plans, founding member offers, and similar subscription-based services offered directly through EdLeadia.

Separate written agreements, purchase orders, district contracts, school team plans, leadership cohort arrangements, consulting services, custom training, speaking engagements, or partnership agreements may have different cancellation, payment, and refund terms. If a separate written agreement applies, that written agreement controls for that purchase.

2 Digital access and membership plans +

EdLeadia provides digital professional learning and reflection support. Paid access may include support tools, audio reflections, written content, AI-supported features, leadership focus areas, member-only pages, or other digital resources available during your membership period.

Because EdLeadia is a digital service, access may begin shortly after purchase, account activation, or trial conversion. The specific features included in a plan may vary depending on the plan description, launch stage, beta stage, founding member offer, or membership tier available at the time of purchase.

3 Free previews, trials, and founding access +

EdLeadia may offer free previews, limited trials, beta access, advisory cohort access, founding member invitations, discounted plans, or promotional access. The details of each offer will be described at sign-up, checkout, invitation, or in the related written communication.

If a free or discounted trial requires payment information and automatically converts into a paid plan, the trial length, renewal date, price, cancellation process, and billing frequency should be clearly shown before you submit payment information.

If you do not want a trial to convert into a paid subscription, cancel before the trial ends. If the cancellation tool is not available or not working, contact EdLeadia through the Contact page before the trial ends and keep a copy of your message.

4 How to cancel an individual subscription +

Individual members may cancel their subscription at any time using the account, membership, or billing tools available on the website, where those tools are provided. You may also request cancellation through the Contact page.

When contacting EdLeadia about cancellation, include the email address connected to your account and write “Cancellation Request” in your message. Do not include confidential school, student, staff, family, HR, legal, or sensitive workplace information.

Cancellation stops future renewal charges after the cancellation has been processed. It does not automatically refund charges already paid unless this policy, the checkout terms, a written agreement, or applicable law provides a refund right.

5 Monthly individual memberships +

Monthly memberships may be cancelled at any time. When you cancel a monthly membership, you will generally keep access until the end of the monthly billing period already paid for, unless access is removed earlier because of misuse, account security concerns, violation of the Terms of Use, or another serious issue.

Monthly membership fees are generally not prorated or refunded for partial months after access has begun, unless a refund is required by applicable law, a duplicate charge occurred, a billing error occurred, or EdLeadia decides that a refund is appropriate in the circumstances.

6 Annual or longer individual memberships +

Annual or longer individual memberships may be cancelled at any time to stop future renewals. Unless otherwise stated at checkout, cancellation normally means your access continues until the end of the paid term.

For a first-time annual individual membership, EdLeadia may provide a full refund if you request cancellation within 14 days of purchase and your account has not been used in a way that violates the Terms of Use. After 14 days, annual memberships are generally not refunded except where required by applicable law, where a billing error occurred, or where EdLeadia decides that a refund is appropriate.

For annual renewal charges, EdLeadia will aim to provide clear renewal information before renewal where required or appropriate. If you believe an annual renewal occurred in error or without proper notice, contact EdLeadia promptly so the request can be reviewed.

7 District, team, cohort, and institutional access +

District, school, team, cohort, leadership program, association, or institutional access may be priced and managed differently than individual subscriptions. These plans may involve invoices, purchase orders, custom access windows, group onboarding, named seats, bulk access, or a written agreement.

Refunds, cancellations, seat changes, renewal terms, and payment timelines for institutional or team plans will be governed by the applicable quote, invoice, purchase order, written agreement, or plan terms provided at the time of purchase.

8 When refunds may be considered +

EdLeadia may consider a refund request when:

  • you were charged more than once for the same membership period;
  • there was a clear billing or checkout error;
  • you cancelled before a trial ended but were still charged;
  • you could not access the paid service because of an EdLeadia-controlled technical issue that could not be reasonably resolved;
  • the plan description or checkout information materially differed from what was provided;
  • a refund is required by applicable consumer protection law;
  • EdLeadia determines that a refund is fair and reasonable in the circumstances.

Submitting a refund request does not guarantee that a refund will be approved. Each request will be reviewed based on the plan terms, payment date, access history, reason for the request, applicable law, and the surrounding circumstances.

9 When refunds are usually not provided +

Unless required by law or stated otherwise at checkout, refunds are usually not provided for:

  • partial use of a monthly membership period;
  • forgetting to cancel before a renewal after clear renewal terms were provided;
  • lack of use after access was made available;
  • change of mind after the stated refund window has passed;
  • loss of access caused by violating the Terms of Use;
  • technical issues caused by unsupported browsers, personal devices, private network settings, workplace firewalls, or third-party systems outside EdLeadia’s reasonable control;
  • features that were clearly described as beta, pilot, preview, evolving, limited, or experimental.
10 How to request a refund +

To request a refund, use the Contact page and include “Refund Request” in your message. Include the email address connected to your EdLeadia account, the approximate purchase date, the plan purchased, and a brief explanation of the request.

Please do not include student names, staff names, family names, school names, confidential workplace records, payment card numbers, passwords, or sensitive information in your refund request.

EdLeadia aims to review refund requests within a reasonable time. Approved refunds will usually be submitted to the payment processor within 15 days of approval. Your bank, credit card provider, or payment processor may take additional time to post the refund.

11 Failed payments, chargebacks, and account access +

If a payment fails, is reversed, is disputed, or is not completed, EdLeadia may pause, limit, or end access to paid features until the issue is resolved. Payment processors may retry failed payments according to their own systems and your selected payment method.

If you believe a charge was incorrect, contact EdLeadia first so the issue can be reviewed. This does not limit any rights you may have with your payment provider or under applicable law.

12 Plan changes, price changes, and feature changes +

EdLeadia may add, remove, revise, rename, limit, or improve features as the platform develops. This is especially important during beta, pilot, founding member, or early launch stages.

If a price changes for a renewing paid plan, EdLeadia will aim to provide notice where required or appropriate. Continued use after a renewal or plan change may mean you accept the updated plan terms, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

Some early access, discounted, beta, or founding member plans may have different pricing or feature access than later public plans.

13 Your legal rights +

This policy is intended to be clear and fair, but it does not remove any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer protection, payment, subscription, or contract laws.

If a law in your province, state, territory, or country gives you additional cancellation, refund, renewal notice, or consumer rights, those legal rights still apply. If any part of this policy conflicts with a mandatory legal requirement, the mandatory legal requirement will apply to the extent of the conflict.

This policy is not legal advice. Consumer protection rules may vary by location and may change over time. EdLeadia may update this policy as the platform, plans, checkout process, or legal requirements evolve.
